little under the radar from last night but the isles signed Quinnipiac dman Mike Dalhusien. I have seen this kid play alot and he was a fantastic college dman. Good skater big 6'3 215lbs cannon shot and a very big mean streak.

Obviously an awesome game last night. Nice to see them beat a team handily that they should beat. Nice to see the place jammed with Isles fans and loud. 2-1-2 on this road trip should lock up a playoff spot.

You know what else is nice? The fact that the Isles and Rangers are playing an outdoor game at Yankee Stadium on 1/29/14. That's going to be awesome. Lots more outdoor games on the schedule for next season, which is never a bad thing. But I read that they're contemplating an outdoor game at Dodger Stadium in LA between the Ducks and Kings for January 2014. Will it be cold enough there for an outdoor game?

About the only thing the Isles haven't learned to do at this point is how to shut a team down once they've gotten a big lead. There was definitely a major letdown after going up 5-1. That said, we beat a team we were supposed to beat.
I am getting sick of seeing all of our competition winning right along with us. Winnipeg just won't let go. I wonder how nervous the Rangers fans are getting.

They'd better have some strong fans at ice level (fans as in blowing air), the fog would be awful.

Isles were sloppy and got a little caught in run and gun. The Jets do not want to lose right now. I was hoping the Isles had a spot wrapped up by now.

Yeah they were running around a bit in the third but they got the win, they have got to get their game back togather by Thursday. I think they will. Panthers took it up a couple notches to save face. Have to love this teams BATTLE LEVEL.

Michael Fornabaio ‏@fornabaioctp 13h Meanwhile, as @ChipMalafronte first reported, Quinnipiac defenseman Mike Dalhuisen is signing with the Islanders.

they might be waiting so the contract starts next season..not sure

Can never have enough D. I wonder what's up with Kichton and if he will still be signed?

I think with Mayfield and Pedan signed and some other propects in the system we should be fine without Kitchon. If the Isles can make the playoffs and with the move to Brooklyn that should be a huge help in the Islanders signing guys to fill holes as well.

A lot of positives with this team. Winning cures all. We make the playoffs and make some noise that's going to help with FA's more than anything. We face Montreal in the first round we are in good shape to possibly even win a round. If that happens we are in real good shape as far as league wide respect and players taking us seriously. Tack that up with our forward depth in bdgpt and we are sitting pretty. Good to be an islanders fan these days.

the first period was so dominant, there was no way the panthers were going to come back.

also, the days of giving up leads have passed...the isles are one of the best teams in the league to finish off a win when they are ahead...

Big game tomorrow against the Leafs. I don't want them going into Saturdays game possibly being one point ahead of Winnipeg. the Jets are playing the Canes tomorrow. I will be at the game tomorrow night wearing my JT jersey. I haven't been to an Isles game in many years. I'm excited and i hope they win. i'll be the drunk guy in section 308. Hopefully i wont get beat up. Go Isles go!

I agree with you here. Incredible how I don't get nervous when they have a lead anymore. Nice to have confidence in these guys. Watched the game w a few friends yest and they were panicking in the third when we were on our heels. I knew we were coming out with a win. One of their biggest problems for the last five yrs or so has been holding a lead, seems to be resolved? I loved in the Philly game when they were up by three with two minutes to play and they were still crashing the net. Teams past would've held back. This team has that killer instinct more so than any islander team in years.
